Big DNA Ltd is developing a patented DNA vaccine development platform based upon the use of bacterial viruses.
The company, launched in May 2007, is a spin-off from the Moredun
Research Institute and is based at the Roslin BioCentre, just outside
of Edinburgh in Scotland, UK.

First International Phage Conference voted huge success
The first international phage biotechnology conference, held this
week at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, is expected
to lead to the formation of that an International Phage Society
and trade body.

SMART award to Big DNA for vaccine development
Big DNA Ltd has been awarded a SMART award of £70,000. SMART
Scotland gives grants to small and medium sized enterprises to help
support R&D projects representing a significant technological
advance for UK industry or a sector concerned.
