Job Summary:
To plan, manage and deliver the collaborative Research
and Development programmes at BigDNA. The Project
Manager will coordinate the Company's R & D
and commercial functions with activities of collaborators,
external consultants and service providers.

Summary:
BigDNA is a young and dynamic vaccine development company.
The core technology is based upon the use of synthetic
bacteriophage as DNA vaccine delivery vehicles. The Project
Manager's responsibilities will include-
- Implementing the Company's Collaborative Projects according
to agreed development plans and milestones;
- Managing internal and outsourced resources to ensure
project delivery, including internal R&D
teams, commercial support staff, external consultants,
service providers and collaborators.
- Communicating project needs and status effectively
to project staff, line management and external parties,
including regulatory agencies
- Contingency planning for each Project.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a senior position
and the post holder will have responsibility for delivering
the Company's Collaborative Project milestones, closely
supported by an R&D
team and commercial functions within the company, as
well as external specialists and service providers.
Skills/Experience Required:
The ideal candidate will have a background in the biotechnology
industry and will have had prior experience of effective
project management, direct liaison with external partners,
and will include experience of pharmaceutical regulatory
issues. He or she will have a life sciences degree. With
an enthusiastic, motivational 'can-do' attitude is essential,
and at least some practical research experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are
central to this role, as well as the ability to effectively
manage and coordinate the activities of many different
stakeholders. Diligence, professionalism and drive are
essential attributes for this position, as are excellent
organizational skills.
Qualifications Preferred:
At least graduate level.
Salary:
